Sabily adalah sistem operasi yang terbuka, bebas, yang didesain oleh dan untuk kaum Muslim. Berbasis pada distro Ubuntu Linux yang terkenal sebagai sistem operasi yang bebas, efisien, dan aman. Tidak seperti Microsoft Windows dan sistem proprietary lainnya, Linux terbuka untuk umum dan dikembangkan oleh kontibutor. Sabily mengandung serangkaian paket yang telah disesuaikan dari distro Ubuntu; Ubuntu sangat mudah digunakan bahkan oleh pengguna awam sekalipun, dengan aplikasi perkantoran yang paling banyak digunakan, Internet, aplikasi Grafis dan Video telah terinstal. Dengan Sabily, pengguna Muslim mendapatkan perangkat lunak Islami dan peralatan yang luar biasa yang telah terinstal. Sabily mengikutsertakan perangkat lunak Islami (prayer times tool, Quran study tool, Hijri calendar dll.) dan dengan desain yang telah disesuaikan.
